This section is real important. I want to spare you the hardship of wasting your money on advertising campaigns that just don't work. I'm not going to spend time on discribing what doesn't work but instead will give you the techniques I use drive thousands of visitors to my site for little or no money.

Internal Linking

It is very important that you link every page to a least one page internal to your web site. Find a keyword or keyword phrase and link it to a page that has the same theme as your keyword / phrase.

External Linking

It is just important to have external links pointing to your web site pages. Google considers an external link as a vote of confidence or of importance. The more external links the better chance you have at being ranked high in all search engines. You do need to understand that external links MUST come from sites that are relevant to your web site or web page theme otherwise the external link may work against you. If you have a "How to Train Poodles" page you don't want a site that sell DVDs linking to you, instead find a site that has something to do with pets, dogs, pet training etc.

I use a company called Link Market they are reasonable in cost and will save you many hours of searching for link partners. I highly recommend them.

I've covered this is great detail Here. If you want to get great traffic write short articles related to your niche site or on the theme of a particular page. Just like in linking, it is vital that you keep the topical theme related to your site or page.

As I mentioned many times I like to use Ezine Articles, pay them a visit and set up your author account.

eBay has a feature called eBay Classifieds that allows you to create a sales page that looks just like a standard auction page. The classifieds are treated just like an auction page in their search results and category pages which gives you exellent exposure.

The cost of a classified is under $10 a month and under $35 a month to be added to the featured ad section. I highly recommend that you creae a classified for each one of your web sites.

Uploading a commercial won't fly on YouTube. You have to be subtle, but if you are creative and not too heavy handed and not so obviously schilling your product, you might be able to score lots of free marketing online.

When most people think of YouTube, most likely they think of guys dancing on treadmills and bootleg clips of Stephen Colbert, from Comedy Central's Colbert Report.

Charles Smith, a pottery artist from Mobile, Ala., thinks about the tens of thousands of people worldwide who have clicked on his videos to watch him create works of art on his pottery wheel only to break them up at the end.

"You've got to have a gimmick, so I broke up the pots," says Smith, who says about 90 percent of that traffic is students, but 10 percent is actually generating sales.

Before YouTube, Smith's ability to market his pottery was limited to driving from town to town hitting as many art shows as possible and hoping for that occasional local news feature story to generate business.

"Now I don't have to go to the art fairs as much. It's too expensive with the price of gas anyway. I've got the website and YouTube. It's so much better. I'm hearing from heavy collectors and galleries who've watched my videos. You never know who's watching them. I'm hearing from people as far away as Japan. It's a great tool and best of all - It's free," says Smith.
