You may be just starting out in Internet Marketing or you may have a few sites up you may even be earning some money from your ventures.

But I bet there's one thing that saps your time without you even realizing it.

How much time do you spend each day scouring forums and checking email?

Stop!

These two time-wasters are not essential to your business.

In fact  they can be detrimental. They stop you from doing the things that matter (i.e. work.)

For years I used to check my emails first thing (actually I still do that) and then check them again a couple of hours later and once more in the afternoon and then just before I logged off for the day and I might even have a sneaky check in the evening when my girlfriend wasn't looking!

It can be exciting to see "you've made a sale" emails come in and it can be disheartening to see an empty inbox. Either way your emails aren't going away and you can put off the pain or pleasure until tomorrow.

I recommend checking them once at the end of each day. I know some marketers who only check them once every 3 days. I don't recommend that because it makes you hard to get hold of - which can be bad for business.

(In fact I write copy for one well known guru, but he takes so long to get back to me with his email habits I've had to ditch him!)

And as for forums just 15 minutes a day is ample to catch up with the goings on in the world.

It's actually a great idea to get one email account and have all your marketing stuff directed straight to that otherwise you'll find yourself logging into multiple accounts each day and going round in circles with all the latest marketing must-have's that get thrown at you.

I guarantee you cut down your email and forum dwelling time and you'll be more focused, able to concentrate on your current projects and make more money. Try it!
